Mike's Farm
Mike's Farm is a southern, family-style restaurant on acres of property where you can lounge, feed animals, and enjoy the country! Recently, we went on a family adventure for Mike's Farm's tractor show.

Huffman Vineyards
Huffman Vineyards is located in Richlands, just under an hour from our house. One day, Mark and I had some time to make the drive and decided to go for it! It's a locally-owned, small vineyard that is far from the hustle and bustle. It was delightful.

Swansboro's Salty Air Open Market
Recently, Mark and I have had a few days where our sitter is coming, but he has the day off. Instead of cancelling the babysitter, we use it as an opportunity to go on a day date! Just last week, we decided to head out Swansboro for breakfast, but that morphed into checking out the Salty Air Open Market.

Lynnwood Park Zoo
On a sunny day a few weeks ago, Mark asked if we could do something as a family. Specifically, he asked if we could do something Caroline would like and he wanted me to make sure I took lots of pictures. The man just wanted to make some daddy/daughter memories and... be still my heart... we made it happen!

"Elegant Tryon Bed, Barn & Breakfast"

When Mark and I decided to go to the Blue Ridge BBQ Festival, we knew we wanted to stay at an AirBnB. Since he was gearing up for a deployment, we wanted to maximize the opportunity to relax and enjoy our little vacation. I found this cute bed and breakfast and knew we had found "the spot."

Strawberry Picking at Mike's Farm
If you know me, you know that I love to pick fresh, seasonal fruit! It's one of my favorite activities when the seasons change - strawberries, blueberries, apples, etc - I love it all! Here in North Carolina, it's strawberry pickin' time so I invited my friend, Alisha, and we headed to Mike's Farm.

Babypalooza 2016 Recap
Last weekend, I attended Bumbledoo's Babypalooza 2016, "Fayetteville's longest running Mom, Family and Baby event committed to helping expectant and new parents. Bringing you news, deals, tips, ideas, products and services, from bump to toddler." I'd searched high and low for a "Baby Expo" and this one fit my schedule and wasn't too far away... Score!

Moving Update
I am happy to report that Mark and I have, mostly, settled into our new house! It's been a crazy few weeks, which included Mark leaving for a training exercise, but we're chugging along. The house is coming together great, mostly because Mark has worked his butt off to get it all put together just the way that I want it. He's sweet like that.

Chicago, IL to Columbus, GA... The Long Way
After leaving Indiana, we headed to Chicago to spend a few days with my sister and go to the Taylor Swift concert. Yep, the T Swift concert! My sister had a ticket through her office and they were going to arrive in style, via a yacht, and had invited us along. Sounds pretty epic to me! It was Mark's first trip to Chicago so we were sure to check out some of the best sites in the city.

Eastern America Tour
Mark and I are nearly finished with you tour around America! We have settled at his parents house, in South Carolina, after a 30-day trip around the eastern part of the country. Sounds crazy, right?! Or maybe it sounds, "just like something we would do."
