The House That Built Me

Coming home has been awesome, but for the first time in my life when I came home it wasn't to the house I grew up in. My parents bought a beautiful, big house and I couldn't be happier for them! I must admit, however, going to our old house and seeing it empty was rough. They recently sold it and because they were closing we had to go one last time to grab a few things.

It was very nostalgic to walk into a house that holds so many memories knowing that someone else would soon live in it. I think it really hit me because I haven't been home to see the transition during the move. It literally went from our house to not our house in, what seemed like, a flash!

I tried my best to hold it together, but I definitely cried a little. Some memories that come to mind are Grandma living with us and we set her chair and TV up in the dining room, painting my room to try to make it look like circles and it ended up looking like the solar system, my 6th grade party with almost my entire class there, and holding my first jewelry open house in the front room... just to name a few!

My old room

These magnets were on my magnetic-painted closet doors.

Won't take nothing but a memory
